Converting it into a ceiling fan was a striking idea. Well, you can get the ideas in how to make the same propeller in the ceiling fan yourself. Step by step ceiling fan made of old propeller can be very inspiring to make a creative design of fixture.
First of all, you should have to take it apart or disassembling the propeller to be cleaned and painted. If you know about fabricating mounting bracket, then the center hub is usable. Feel free to design the bracket but a vertical mount with a six inch pulley at the top. The mounting bracket is hung on a vertical 2×8 that attached to the rafters in my garage. I have the prop painted with new decals as fine additions. A motor of mobility scooter can be used to spin the propeller. The scooter motor has 24 volt 6 amp DC electric motor that turns at 300rpm. The original geared pulley is removed and the motor mount painted in certain color. I rotated it 180 degrees and then remounted it.

Adding a three inch V belt pulley to be mounted on the 2×8 above the bracket of propeller, face down so that the three inch pulley lined up on the motor with the sink inch pulley on the propeller mount. The motor is connected by a V belt to the mount and a 110 volt AC to 12volt 3 amp DC power supply is used. The prop turns at 75rpm roughly.
